Marriage

With the number on the countdown scroll getting smaller and smaller, I felt it would be appropriate to make this month's blog a wedding one.

Paul and I dated for eleven months before we got engaged and we spent five months talking to one another prior to beginning a dating relationship. We have now been engaged for just over nine months and every minute has been packed with both joy and challenges.

Here is a list of of some of the joys:

  1. Having a best friend that always wants to hang out
  2. A personal chef (haha yes, Paul is the cook)
  3. Leasing our first apartment and getting it ready for when we're married
  4. Living in North Carolina :-D
  5. Planning an event where all of our best friends can celebrate us coming together
  6. Knowing that God is the center of our relationship and He can set us straight when we need it.
And some of the challenges

  1. Paul attaining citizenship has been the cause of a lot of time, stress, and money (for his parents because they are so graciously blessing us)
  2. I can't get away with unruly stubborn behavior anymore and I'm challenged to change when I have a bad attitude
  3. Coming together in marriage also means supporting two people rather than one
  4. Unexpected situations can occur in either of our lives which directly effect both of us rather than one individual
Through the joys and challenges, we've had our tough days and our dream days but I can say in honesty that it's all worth it. Being Christians has been a great advantage to our relationship because we understand that even when the going gets tough, we can trust that everything works together for the good of those who love God. He hasn't let us down yet and we can continue to trust in His unfailing love.

Until the world's not worthy
